Red Bull Presents: Tum Tum Pa

Red Bulls Presents: TUM TUM PA
Percussion music using everyday school work material ...
We had 5 teams from our student groups and while the competition was intense, I was rather on the having fun side and enjoying 100,000,000 cans of free Red Bull, that almost gave me wings ... too much of it and way to jumpy :D :D :D

Our goal was playing two songs(music)
First one, was a song of choice and play a cover for it, more like a title song.
Second one was more challenging, because it was a self composition.
"Music ain't no joke people."

Getting started:

Back Stage with Friends.

Our Team, 'Mt. 18'

The DJ, kind of annoying ... I am kidding, he did a good job there.
Basically was the stage manager. Funny guy.

Our Team Preparing for the first bout.

Pooh, I believe was their band name, not so very sure.

There is the judges' panel.

Drop it like it's hot.
The guy standing up is making the 'snooooooooooooppp' sound.
Good JOB !!!

This band had some serious style. Sun Glasses.

Their title song was really nice.

Celebration after the judges' announcements.

I'm still on Red Bull.
It's not the best thing before or after the show.

We're all happy and relieved.

Stage filled with us competitors and sharing of congratulatory words.

This was the scene before and after the show.

Hopefully, everyone has learnt a lot from this experience.
I did and it goes like, 'you never know until you try' ...

Convocation SCSU Spring 2011

Convocation: Friday, April 1, 2011
We have lots of different shows happening here, thanks to the Music Department. Today we had a wonder show.
The show started with Dr. Terry Vermillion (chair) addressing the topic and title of the events.

Getting the stage ready up for Dr. Terry and his wonderful skills.

Miss Ann Pankratz Klinkner modeest with her flute.

The fusion of Sarabande and Bourree Anglaise (J.S. Bach).

I used to be huge flute fan. Infact I still have one from Nepal. I remember how smooth the sound of the music really is.

Here comes, the piano.

Joseph Caswell, age 7 was the real hero of the show.

Performing, Prelude and fugue. BWV 846 o.1 in C major (J.S. Bach).

Students busy filming and taking pictures of this talented young man.

Gentle man or humble, he did a great job on his Piano Sonata No.17 in Bflat major, K.570 (W.A. Mozart).

Standing ovation and attendees discussing, how good Joseph's Nocturne No. 20 in C sharp minor, Op. posth (Frederic Chopin).

Busy with his final and impressive skills playing Toccata Op. 15 (Robert Muczynski).
Unfortunately, this was his last performance, but we could all see the mixed feelings this one little person had over every one twice/trice his age and size.
Honestly, we got nothing one him (if he was a music gangster).

The star of the show was very tired after his last performance.

Joseph Caswell, humble, good and talented in his own respect and no-doubt earned the respect of everyone who were there smiling and watching his magic fingers roll.
